If you have been following this blog for a while, you may have noticed that I have changed the look a few times. Okay, it’s been more like fifty times. Truth is, I’m always learning how to do this blogging thing. I started That Click Moment back in 2011 (I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already!) as an outlet to share thoughts. As the years went by, I started to understand what widgets are and began playing with themes.
This blog lived on wordpress.com for years and years, mainly because the idea of self-hosting was incredibly daunting. I also didn’t think I blogged often enough to validate the time, effort and money it would take to move the blog . To be honest, there were nights that I found myself thinking about ideas for posts, only to chicken out of writing them due to fear that they would be too boring . I felt really vulnerable and that what I had to say wouldn’t be ‘ enough’.
But no more.
I decided to get over myself. I have taken the leap and moved over to self-hosting and pay for someone to help me develop a page. You may not notice that much of a difference other than the layout and some different colors. But this move has made the world of a difference for me. I feel like the page FINALLY looks cleaner.
In my opinion, the site looks way better on a desktop since it isn’t so condensed. But since I most of us live on our phones, I have set up the mobile option too.
Here are a couple of new things you can find on the blog:
- A subscribe button on the right-hand side if viewing on desktop and at the bottom of the page if viewing on your phone/iPad. This option will keep you up to date on any upcoming posts. Make sure you sign up!
- A little bio on me, Chris and Jaxon
- As always, I LOVE reading all your comments ( even when you disagree!), so be sure to let me know what you think by using the comment box at the bottom of the page.
On a final note, you may notice that a good amount of my posts lately have been baby related. I know this isn’t everyone’s jam and I completely understand that. That said, the blogs I enjoy the most are the ones that keep it real and share what’s going in real life. I will try to keep a variety but as I’m sure you can understand, Baby K is a big part of my life right now 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep reading 😁
