As you can see from the photo, we knew about the pregnancy on our wedding day. I’ll be sharing more about how the wedding day went and being pregnant in an upcoming post. In the meantime, I wanted to share a little back story.
For a long time, Chris and I have talked about starting a family. If I am being honest, I was sure it would take us a long time to get pregnant; minimum a year. I have had the fear of having ‘moldy ovaries’ ever since I turned 30. The older I got, the more I heard those comments about how my chances were getting low. In May, I started doing acupuncture for fertility. I had no reason to think I had infertility issues but since I was already an acupuncture regular, I figured why not. I also started drinking raspberry leaf tea because some where I had read it would help. At this point, we weren’t trying but I was worried and just trying to prepare.
In June, we had dinner with a couple of friends and the topic came up about us having kids. Our friends ( with 4 kids) mentioned that we may as well try since it probably wouldn’t happen right away. And on the off-chance that it did happen, there is no way we would know by the wedding. A few days later, Chris and I decided to just let all the worrying go and if it was meant to happen, it would…..
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for the First Trimester post with Chris’s reaction, how the wedding day went and how things have been going.
