I find that I come across some of my most favorite songs in the weirdest places. Standing in the grocery store, watching Netflix or, as in this case, Instagram. A photographer that I follow posted a video of a retreat she hosted and this song was the soundtrack for the video:
(This is the only video I could find of the acoustic version. It’s worth getting off Apple Music instead)
When I was little, we used to always watch the movie ” The Snowman ” right before Christmas. I really love this cover of the theme song from that movie:
Remember back in elementary when we would spend hours writing cursive letters between those damn dotted lines? From what I hear, cursive hand writing is not taught in schools anymore. Is that true? I have never been a good drawer, but when I ever I see neat looking hand writing on signs , I wish I could do that. So I’ve been (slowly) practicing cursive hand writing with the hope to move into calligraphy at some point.

I am still making a lot of Paleo recipes. My friend Jo said to me that I always seem to cook from recipes. Yep! it’s true. Maybe I’m missing the creativity to just ‘wing it’. Plus, I really like looking for recipes and making them.
Here are some of my recent favorites:
—> This shake was a game changer for me. For years, I swore off bananas and felt like barfing every time I thought about them.
—> I have made these meatballs twice and they are even better the next day
—-> I made these loaded fries for Chris. I didn’t get to try them, but he raved about them.
—> These shells are AMAZING! We have used them for shrimp tacos and as wraps for scramble egg skillet dishes. I may never buy wraps again.
—> Homemade BBQ sauce! I made a couple of jars of this and froze it to usedfor pulled pork and for a burger topping
According to the book, lot of things that were reported about this terribly tragedy turned out to be either not be true or severely taken out of context. I wasn’t able to finish the book. As interesting as it was, it was too hard of an ( emotional ) read.
I feel like I should give a disclaimer before I explain this book. It may seem like a strange choice of a read, but I picked it up because I have always had a fascination with how the brain works, why we act the way we do etc.
I’m hooked on the show “Lie to Me”. It’s on Netflix ( of course) and I’m half way through Season 2. I don’t know how accurate the information is on the show but it sure is interesting. I just found out it cancelled after Season 3 #foxnetworkproblems
BANE OF MY EXISTENCE
My skin. I know, first world problems. I have been using the Philosophy products ( which I love) along with Dr. Dennis Gross peels ( every other day) and the combo has kept my skin almost clear. However, on the rare occasion I do get a break out, it leaves a scar. I just bought the Clarisonic Brush because I heard it is excellent at removing all the gunk off out of pores and exfoliating which brings new skin cells to the surface. I will let you know what I think in a month.
My Bachelorette party is coming up in a few weeks and I AM SO EXCITED!! It will be great to have my friends and family together and go have fun!
Determined. I just finished writing a list of goals I want to focus on for the end of May and into June. Is there anything better than checking shit off a list and feeling accomplished?!?!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your May!
