I can not STAND bananas. At least I didn’t think I could.
I do, however, love chocolate. The shake was a game changer for me. The recipe is taken out of Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook .
Yields: 1 serving
1 frozen banana
2 dates, pitted and roughly chopped
1 cup of almond milk
2 tablespoons of almond butter
1 tablespoon of maple syrup ( the real stuff)
1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
1. Place all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth ( about 2 minutes)
** Try adding a bit of jam to this smoothie to add favour
** I also add a bit of chocolate protein powder
