It wasn’t an easy decision, but my sister-in-law ( to be) and I have decided not to go to the Adele concert in Arizona in August. I’m a bit sad knowing this trip won’t be happening , but I know that all the (personal) reasons we have for not going make the decision the right one. See you another time Adele!
PALEO RECIPES ARE AMAZING. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about trying paleo food, I was sure it would taste bland and cardboard like.
Wow, was I wrong!
I picked up these two books from Chapters a couple of weeks ago:
Everything I have made so far has been amazing!
I will be going through some of my favorites in my April currently post but for now, check out this Buffalo Chicken ‘Pasta’ recipe. This dish has the perfect kick to it and is filling without all the pasta.
I read a really good article on Marc and Angel called 18 Ways You’re Making Your Life Harder Than It Has To Be . These points really stuck out for me :
1. You look to everyone else for the answers only you can give yourself.
I am very guilty of this. I have a habit of asking handful of friends their opinions before (usually) following my gut instinct. It’s that fear of making a mistake I think.
2. You assign negative intent to other people’s actions.
Not something I am proud of, but I am notorious for jumping to conclusions.
3. You are too worried that people will steal what you have.
I loved how this point talked about how there is always more to gain by sharing knowledge than hoarding it.
4. You focus on popularity over effectiveness.
So hard to not get wrapped up in this with Instagram and the ‘likes’ and the thumps up on Facebook. But the number of ‘likes’ doesn’t equal effectiveness, nor should it define self-worth.
5. You have the “all or nothing” mentality.
That was the look Chris gave me when I read this point to him. THIS IS ME TO A “T”. This point talks about appreciating the grey and how everything doesn’t have to be an extreme failure or success.
6. You keep thinking about worse case scenarios..
I loved how this point talked about how we still arrive at the same destination, but do you want to arrive with a smile or with a frown?
I took this photo on a Friday afternoon walk with Jaxon. I don’t think I started to really appreciate my surroundings until my late 20’s. How terrible is that!?!?. The coulee’s are just a couple minutes away from our house and this Friday was beautiful and sunny.
I couldn’t stop laughing. They are suggested as Groomsmen gifts. 😂😂😂❌❌❌
Have a great weekend!
