Happy March! Just barely though, hey!?! Time got away from me this month.. oops!
Anyway, here we go:
Love everything about this song, the lyrics, the tune. All of it.
And this.. because I don’t know why
Our backyard is an annoyance we can’t ignore anymore. The amount of dirt Jaxon treads in is causing me to have a small aneurysm. I shouldn’t take much credit for the work that has been done so far ,Chris has been doing most of the heavy lifting. I have just been asking a lot of questions and voicing all of my opinions haha. Our plan is to put down rock for Jaxon, lay sod and set up some garden planters so I can plant veggies this year.
–>This breakfast bowl does the trick at keeping me full for hours. I switched out sausage for bacon because it was all I had on hand.
–>These muffins were quick and easy to make and are great for a grab and go snack.
–>My Dad sent me this curry recipe and we loved it. I omitted the chicken stock and used frozen mango. I’m a wimp when it comes to spice, but it’s worth using the hot Korma paste.
–>This steak marinade. I know, the ingredients sound a little strange, but I swear it’s good.
A couple of blog posts back, I mentioned I went a little crazy at Sephora.
Two of my favourite things I bought were the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer Warm Ivory and corrector in Light Bisque.
No matter how much sleep I get, I usually wake up with ugly-looking dark circles under my eyes. These concealer work great. The pinkish colour takes out the purple colour under my eyes and the yellow colour helps lighten and correct any discolouration.
I also picked up the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base.
OH MY GOD, this stuff smells amazing. If they made it in a bigger bottle, I would definitely buy it and use it as a body butter. I have tried a good handful of primers over the years but they tend to dry out my skin. Not only does this stuff smell AMAZING, but it also delivers hydration to my forever dry skin.
Bane of my existence
Speaking of skin, in the last 4-5 months, my skin has been the bane of my existence. It’s pretty normal for me to have dry skin in the Winter months, but it’s seemed worse this year. Recently I give Rodan + Fields a shot since I had heard amazing things about their products. Unfortunately, within 3 days, my skin broke out and was highly irritated. I’ve moved onto to the Philosophy products and so far I am loving their 3 in 1 face wash.
We had decided to not go on a honeymoon after the wedding for two reasons:
1. We still need to figure out what we are doing about Arizona in August
2. It’s hurricane season in the Dominican, Mexico, etc.
Last week, we changed our minds and decided we wanted a week away after all.
So…we are going to VEGAS!
Chris has never been ( I know right!?!?) and I have only been once. It’s going to be million degrees in July, but we don’t care. It will be nice to get away for a little while.
Nothing. How terrible is that!?!? BUT, I did go to the library today and picked up a couple of books that a few friends had suggested.
Happy. I took a career change about a month ago and I have been loving the change of scenery. I am working at a Hearing Clinic and learning a ton. I like who I work with, which always makes the days go by fast.
I am also happy because of this great weather we are having. I already set up our patio furniture, pre mature I know LOL. I am so excited to sit outside and soak up the sun in the mornings. Bring on Summer!
