I wasn’t able to write my five on Friday yesterday. Yesterday wasn’t good, in fact this week hasn’t been good. I’m not ready to get / may never be ready to get into it and even saying that maybe too much as I’m not trying to raise any flags. I was asked what happened to yesterday , so I’m addressing that concern. Thankfully, I have someone who, despite all the information, stories and feelings I’ve spewed at him this week, has somehow managed to just calmly sit , listen and attempt to understand . ❤️
Let’s move on ..
Instagram , instachange. So I started following a couple of new accounts on Instagram. And then finding more accounts through their accounts that led to websites about apps and photos and even more websites. I started to look at my own account and how dry and boring it has become. I started following an account called my 365 which offers ideas of what to take a photo of. Remember the monthly challenges everyone use to do back in the day ? It’s like that , but there is a whole community. I started having conversations with people on the gram ,some of whom told me horrific stories of backlash that have gone through just from how they take photos and how their account looks ( how bananas is that ?!? It’s instagram !). So I’ve been attempting to see things differently, fiddle with apps and cut down the selfies.
The high of having my car detailed has sadly begun to wear off. Last weekend, we went to a wedding and I made the catastrophic mistake of wearing a dress with sparkles on it. The next day, my car seat looked like a pre- teen’s makeup box had thrown up. And since we are currently in ‘Spinter’ , that freshly waxed looked is pretty much dead. Even still, I definately think it was worth it , if for no other reason than there is no longer a trace of dog vomit.
We went to the Light house for sushi recently. I have to say , it maybe the new go to
I actually can’t think of a fifth. …. My friend Tasha asked us to watch her son one night recently. In the span of 2 hours , there was dinner , golf played on the pool table , drums played and huge race car jumps built. I have to give it to parents out there ; not that I think that two hours is any sort of a reflection years and years of parenting. It was fun. Kids say and do the funniest things
Hope you have a good weekend
